    Dates: June 10 - July 31, 2025
    Salary: $3,000-$4,000 (based on experience) for the Season, split into bi-weekly payments. 

    Additional Benefits: Shared housing on campus in a dormitory (private bedroom, communal bathroom and common areas), meal plan in Vassar College’s dining hall (3 meals per day), round-trip travel reimbursement from New York City, free tickets to Powerhouse shows (as available)

    Job Summary

    The Education/Producing Assistant assists both Producing Directors and the Associate Producer on a myriad of projects and tasks as needed.  Reporting directly to the Producing Directors (but working closely with the Associate Producer), the Education/Producing Assistant is a key member of the producing team, working hands on to set up all professional and Training Program projects up for success, with a particular focus on the Training Program. The Education/Producing Assistant is an entry level role for a recent college graduate looking to dive head first into a fast paced and exciting theater festival environment.  An ideal candidate has excellent communication skills and project management capabilities, is interested in theatre and developing new works, has a passion for education, and a knowledge of the current theatrical landscape.

    The Technical Director is responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of the Performing Arts Center This includes oversight and execution of lights, sound, load-in and set-ups; scenic elements, and basic rigging. Events may include: guest artist performances, master classes, recitals, residency artist performances, student theatrical, dance, and music-related performances and recitals, and more.

    Requirements:

    We are seeking a Technical Director for our spring musical, Shrek. Must be able to start the last week of February. Performances are April 24, 25, & 26 with strike the following Monday. This is a stipend position who works closely with the Director. Primarily responsible for Sets and Props.

    Requirements: Any kind of theatre/carpentry experience will be beneficial. Must be able to pass a background check to work with our students.

Performance Dates listed below. All rehearsals and performances will take place at the Towle Theater 5205 Hohman Ave. Hammond, IN.

    Show DescriptionWhen a White House PR nightmare spins into a legit sh*tshow, seven brilliant and beleaguered women must risk life, liberty, and the pursuit of sanity to keep the commander-in-chief out of trouble. The show is an irreverent look at sex, politics and the women in charge of the man in charge. Who knew that a global crisis is always just a four-letter word away.

    Time Commitment: Rehearsals will begin March 22, 2025 (max 3-5 rehearsals per week except tech week).

    Performance Dates:  May 2-4, 9-11. All rehearsals and performances will take place at the Towle Theater in Hammond, IN unless other arrangements are made.
