Set in the 1920s, CHICAGO is a story of jazz, love, crime, and yearning for fame. Roxie & Velma are on their way to becoming famous performers, but they're hopes are dashed when they wind up in jail for crimes they "didn't" commit. They leverage the press and even their own loved ones in a quest to not only be acquitted, but to achieve stardom.
