This grand opening will celebrate the guild’s new home at the CanalPort Center, located at the west end of Illinois Avenue in Morris. Auditions will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 16, and Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, respectively, at the Morris Community High School, 1000 Union St., Morris.

Approximately six singers and two narrators will be cast.

To audition, participants must be 14 years of age or older and bring in a prepared Broadway musical selection. An accompanist will be available if needed or bring in an accompaniment CD of the song.

Participants need not be a member of the Morris Theatre Guild, Inc. to audition, but must join to take part.

The Grand Opening Musical Review will be held Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010.

The show is under the direction of Derek Buckley and Judy Miller, to begin at 8 p.m. This will be an invitation only event.
