Chicago High School for the Arts, a new CPS contract school for the performing and visual arts, seeks instructors for the 2009-10 school year to teach the following Theatre courses:

Acting (improvisation and basic text) for Acting, Musical Theatre and Vocal Performance/Music majors;

Theatre History and Literature (Classical Athens to Restoration);

Movement (Yoga and/or Feldenkrais);

Voice and Speech (Linklater and/or Lessac preferred)

Qualifications include a minimum of seven years’ professional experience in theatre; a minimum of four year’s teaching experience at a pre-professional or professional level; Bachelor’s degree; Illinois State Teacher Certification with a Secondary Level Drama/Theatre Endorsement is preferred.
