Group Sales Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
The Second City – Chicago seeks an experienced and motivated Group Sales Manager. Candidates have customer relations and sales experience, are highly organized and detail/results oriented, able to competently multi-task, possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and are able to work effectively as part of a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Sell and process all group ticket reservations for Chicago-based performances
· Sell and process all dinner show package reservations
· Sell and produce all buyout events for Chicago-based performances
· Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets
· Create a marketing plan for selling group tickets and dinner packages through mailings, email blasts and promotions.
· Implement a marketing plan for group sales
· Compile and issue various weekly/monthly sales reports
· Maintain accounts payable and receivable for dinner shows
· Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships
QUALIFICATIONS
· Previous group sales experience is required. Box Office experience a plus.
· Must have an unceasing ability to sell and to close sales
· Must love providing detailed, consistent, gold-standard customer service
· Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing company image to the public.
· Knowledge of AudienceView and/or other ticketing software is preferred
· A proven record of strong account prospecting and development are a plus
· Must be reliable, enthusiastic and capable of working well with others in a team setting
COMPENSATION
